So far I have had 4 collections (medical) and they are all still pretty new (all under 1 year old) had a c/a call twice today--one that sent a cheesy computer printout, haven't mailed estoppel letter yet--first time I told him to send me a letter of deletion upon full payment and his very nice demeanor turned sour rather quickly. He began by saying, "We are not going to delete this from your credit." "Fine. I am not going to pay this then." "That's fine w/ me, it will be on your credit for...." >Click< I hung up on him.... best feeling I've had for a loooong time. lol. So far I am 4 for 4 with them telling me they won't delete for a payment? Any thoughts or help in this area? I want to pay but I want these tradeline's deleted? Went shopping and when I came home I had a msg. on a/m to call a different guy in regards to this acct. I am not calling him though. They know what I want.
Check out this thread: http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&pgnum=1&postid=128356#post128356 It has a conversation from Doc on talking to the collectors in negotiating a deletion. May be useful... GT
How much money are we talking about here? Am I reading your post right in that they have called you twice since they got your validation letter?
