I have a friend who made some payments to a CA on a medical bill then stopped. Does the SOL start from her last payment or from the date the CA got her account from the Dentist? Also in New Jersey is this treated as an Open Account for SOL reasons? I am having her pull her credit report to see exactly what it says.
SOL for suing goes from when the account went into default, but you need to check their states law specifically to see whether the payment to the CAs office may have reset the SOL.
jam, how would I dheck the law. From what I read on whychat's site I didn't see anything that said the SOL started over again when payments were made then stopped
