I just got approved for a Target Guest card. For a whooping $200.00. I was told the 21% interest rate could not be changed.

Has anyone had any luck lowering it?

    What about raising the CL?

My Score wasn't high enough for the Visa.

They did two inquiries. I had applied about 20 days earlier, but could not be approved because Equifax did not show the proper address. So I go through all the trouble to get the address changed & a copy sent to Target. I was told they had to pull another inquiry cause the last app was to old.(?)

They would not take the first inquiry off. Since the app was processed & a report pulled .

I love all these rules. I just wish they would supply the rest of the nation with a copy of the rule book.

Sorry I have no idea on those two. They did pull my Equifax, but they said they didn't have the score.

    My TU is 608.

Dispute with the CRA the 2 INQUIRES...2 in 30 days is DUPLICATE!!!
Everybody gets $200...even someone who has $1,000,000+++++

I did the TARGET VISA...(never had the store card).

On the interest rate, their is no provision for a variable rate so their is no chance of it changing. Also I think the top level credit limit should be like $700-$1000 I mean how much stuff can you buy at Target in a month?

Use the card religiously every month and pay it off and you will probbaly be given a Visa with a much higher CL at your anniversary date.

My guest card was at $4200 before they converted it to a Visa.

All you have to do is religiously call the # on the card and select "credit line increase" every 3-4 months.

Wish it were that easy with the Visa!

They raised my $200 up to $500 a month or two after I got the card. Just keep your eyes open.

Ps. I do use it almost every month.
