In the foot that is :)

I'm a newbie here and have been reading away for the past three days and so today I took the first step in this uphill battle of rebuilding my credit.

I disputed several collection items on my three reports with each agency as not mine since they aren't listed from the original creditor. I disputed two other tradelines for wrong balance.

Did I do anything wrong ? You guys state to do this stuff yourself but I'm scared I'm gonna mess up or shoot myself in the foot becuase there isn't really a flowchart/roadmap to guide us through this.

The post here are very very helpful but I wasn't sure which order to go in.

My scores are 509 EQ, 535 EX, 476 TU. Help a lost soul. :)

    Hey,

Put that gun down, and put your shoes back on ;-)

Read the FAQ and keep reading until you feel comfortable.

We all have made and are gonna make mistakes.

You seem to be doing o.k. with the disputing.

For the things you disputed the balances, do you want to keep the accounts, because by saying the balance is incorrect, you are basically saying they are yours.
(You didn't do anything wrong, I was just asking).
You could get lucky, and they'll be deleted.

No, there is no chart to follow, you just have to hold your nose and jump in....

Before I disputed ANYTHING, I made sure the SOL for my state was up/gone.

Just take one step at a time and you will do fine.

Even if you stumble, there are VERY helpful people here that will help you.

And, you aren't a lost soul, you've found creditnet!!!

    Good luck...
