Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my cat that I had since I was 12 about three years ago to kidney failure. She was a stray, when my house burned down when I was 13, she was the only one of four cats to survive. I have had many cats, still have two, but she was my favorite. I still miss her:(

I had to have one of mine put to sleep last week (diabetes and serious kidney problems), so I feel your pain.

    Sorry for your loss :(

So sorry to hear about your loss. My in-laws lost a black lab about 4 years ago which was very difficult. They had gotten the dog about 1 month before my oldest was born and they grew up together. She was only 6 when she died. They also found out that it was cancer. She was the best dog ever & my son cried for days. He used to ride the school bus from their house and the dog would see him on the bus & be waiting for him when he got off. They were always together. It is devistating to lose a pet because they are a part of your family. Take care of yourself!

My kitties are like my kids - they mean the world to me. I know the pain you must be feeling. I am so sorry to hear of your loss...

My kitties are like kids to me, too. Even when I see one of the strays hurt or sick, it just makes me sick and sad.

Thank you all so much. So much. And I thought I'd cried all I could today.

    God bless you.

Um, although this is not quite fitting with what this thread has developed into...

Does this mean that you did not trash your fico?

You know, I'm thinking about naming one of my feral kittens Fico. She plays nice for a little while, then when I least expect it, WHAM! Slashes me across the back of the hand.

I hope that wasn't in bad taste..

after reading it again, I hope you realize I am not trying to be crass....

just trying to raise your spirits a little...

No, actually you've brought the topic around to where we might actually be allowed to keep it on the Credit Talk board. I do apologize.

To answer your question, no, I didn't trash my FICO. I was able to pay the vet out of pocket. Except in an emergency, that is how I plan to handle my finances until I have all my cards paid down to at most 30 percent of their CLs.

rhondak, you've made me a smile. I think that's a great name for the kitten and so appropriate. You can have fun explaining it to the uninitiated. Or if you don't feel like going into it, you can just say FIDO is for Dogs and FICO is for Cats.

Thanks for giving me a lift. :)

After I posted that, I started thinking about the other feral cats. The one that runs behind the toilet every time I try to talk to it - that one should be Experian.

I've already named the momma cat Molly Brown. Poor thing. When I trapped her, she had a dislocated leg, two kind of worms, fleas, a lung infection and she's almost completely blind and raising 3 babies.

flyingifr, i take it by your post you don't like animals much. if you care, you should try and save an animal's life; your approach would be to have it killed or let it die, very nice.

Actually I think Flyingifr is just trying to explain in which I thought was funny how heartless the CA calls can be.

Oh really your parents died in a car crash, is that why you haven't had time to pay or return my calls?

How fast can you collect on the will for us, and when will we expect our check?

Remember you owe us before the funeral costs!

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I've been through it with several animals, both cats and dogs. And my sister had a lamb that died when we were growing up.

And I liked jlynn's Rainbow Bridge poem. I've seen it before, but it always brings tears to my eyes.

Everyone has been really sweet about it and I'm very touched. It's amazing when you think about it, how similar we all are, that we could empathize so readily with total strangers. We don't even know each others' names but we know what it feels like to lose a beloved pet and that's all it takes to stretch out a sympathetic hand.

    Thanks again.
