I just sent out validations to everyone on my credit reports reporting negative information. Some quetions now:

    1) Is it a violation if they do not respond in 30 days or don't respond at all?

    2) What is really considered a validation? Nothing less than a SIGNED agreement?

    Thanks

Well, if it's a collection account, then it's a violation if they continue calling you...at least until they validate.

I'd say nothing short of a signature isn't good enough - but I'd get other opinions just to be safe. I have been known to be incorrect from time to time :p
