I opened a charge card in 1998 with Lazarus now called DSNB Macyâ??s. It currently reports 150 days late. The balance owed is $2385. Probably over 70% is in fees & interest. I used to pay this account faithfully but I fell behind and when I did start paying again I could never catch up so I just let it goes to hopefully get a settlement! It doesnâ??t report as a charge off but just super late. The payment history shows from Dec 2003 60 days late to 120 days in August 2004. I started paying monthly again in Sept 04 until July 06. I havenâ??t paid since. Any advice? Any sample letters or tactics I can use? Please helpâ?¦..
