Recently Associate National Bank Closed my Account Stating " Account Closed by Credit Grantor". It has more than 3 years payment history and Paid satisfactorily. Security department closed this account. They did not give anymore more information and said can't reopen the account. Does this account affect my credit report and score?? Pls let me know.
Try a planetfeedback.com to at least get them to show the account as closed by consumer. It does look bad on manual review. You also want to get an answer why they did what they did ... strange things may be showing up on your CRAs, or you may simply have had some strange overlap with a fraud-related phone number or address ... there are newish databases devoted to those kinds of data dots, and a lot of innocent people are being caught up in them.
Request an Adverse Action Notice to find out why they closed the account, and if it was based on CR, which ones they pulled.
To the extent your ratio of outstanding balances to available credit decreases, your score will likely go down some. I assume your account had 0 balance. Was it unused for an extended period of time (several years)?
