Account History Aging question

Just took a look at my credit reports and I noticed that not all of my accounts are updated each month with payment options (especially on TU). Sometimes I go 6 months without an update and then they all come in at once. All accounts say OPEN on status, but I was curious if the lack of payment history affects account history for FICO calculations...

Anyone have an answer or an educated guess? I would think no since my FICO is consistantly improving, but I would like other opinioins.

That is strange that it does, but it makes sense too. My oldest card is one that is updated infrequently, but yet when I check on the length of my credit history it adds one month each month, thus making my credit history longer, yet the card shows no payment activity for the last 3 months. (I don't use the card). In the last 6 months my FICO score on all 3 CRA's has increase 50 points and my balances have stayed the same, no INQ's expired just history getting longer. In the last 6 month's 3 of my cards went past 7 years of history (I figured this is partially responsible for the jump). I also have never used more than 9% of my avail CL in the last year.

It's all about the $$$, it costs less to report quarterly tha mothly, so some furishers will report on a quarterly or semi annual basis.

As for your score, it could be effected if your balances are decreasing (reducing utilization%), and it's not being reported. But the reverse is true also, if your balances go up.

You will still get score credit for the aging of the account.
