Hey Everyone, I'm proud to say this is my first post to creditnet but I'm a certifiable addict.

I have sent a verification letter to a utility co listed on my reports as a paid Charge off---I asked for proof, etc.

I was sent this crappy printout with a list of charges and now they say I owe a small < $100 amount, even though it's reporting paid charge off. Also, it had the statement "we don't have original copies of an agreement opening this account. As you well know, accounts are opened over the phone".

So, now what? Any advice? I figure I could send another one, maybe saying since it's reporting on my CR, they have to have proof I opened the darn thing.

    Lets hear from you experts!
    thanks

Write them and tell them you don't see how that computer printout proves who opened the account.
