I had a REPO back in 1996, and only made 2 payments then the car got repoed. I'm looking on my EQ and DOLA is showing 12/2003. that's a lie because the car got repoed exactly after only 2 payments in 1996. so can I sue for the violation...... any thought?
1996!: shouldn't that have came off your reports in 2003? Why is it still on there? Isn't it beyond SOL also?
I think so... and if look at the DOLA 12/2003, I never made any payment on it since 1996, any idea wheter I should sue for reaging the account.......

Re: Re: account re-aged... HELP? If its not showing as *CLOSED* it became a positive account at the end of the 7 year period. Note the completly clear payment history. This seems to be happening quite frequently where the CRA keeps the account as open even with a charge-off/foreclosure/repossession notations. But it looks like you now have a positive phantom account (the telling sign is Account Number not available, gee, if they don't know the account number, somethings up.) But the good news is that you can keep this positive phantom account indefinately. Common advice is to never dispute a positive account, unless you can't avoid it.
Re: Re: account re-aged... HELP? hmmm, i just noticed the current status as 60 days past due; contradicting the 0 60 days late history. Since the report says that the account number is unavailable, dispute it as not mine, and since they can't provide an account number for them to verify, it should hopefully be deleted. You will want to check the SOL for sueing just to make sure that it has completely tolled. But in all likelyhood, if the account has been sitting idle for more than 5 years everyone deleted their original records, and probably archived their digital records. Since the CRA can't even provide them with an account number to hunt for, it'll look like a major scavenger hunt.
Re: Re: account re-aged... HELP? It would of be a good one, but those past dues are killing my score.... either or I will have to kill it
