Account Review Inquiry

I filed a chapter 7 BK last year and was discharged in November of 2002. Upon reviewing my Experian credit report, I noticed that one of the collection agencies that was included in my BK did an A/R inquiry on my Experian credit report on 2/13/03. This collection agency was also reporting this same collection account three times on my Equifax credit report and I have spent the past four months trying to get them to remove two of the duplicates from my Equifax credit report.

I sent them a letter asking what their permissible purpose was for the Experian inquiry four months after my BK was discharged. The collection agency's attorney sent me a letter stating that this inquiry was in response to my problem with duplicate entries on my Equifax credit report. The attorney also said:

"Experian has provided our company with the ability to view the manner in which our tradeline appears on a customer's credit report through an electronic system called 'Bullseye'. This process does not enable us to pull or view a customer's credit report, but simply look at our own tradeline."

"Experian has advised us that although 'Bullseyes' are reported by them as inquiries, they are listed in a separate section of your credit report and that 'Bullseye' inquiries do not affect or impact a customer's credit score in any way."

Has anyone every heard of this "Bullseye" nonsense? This inquiry is listed under the account review inquiry section of my credit report, which leads me to believe that my entire credit file was pulled. Needless to say, I'm not finished with this collection agency. My Equifax credit report still has the duplicate tradelines and there is no way they can convince me that reviewing my Experian credit report has anything to do with their erroneous reporting on my Equifax report.

Any information that anyone has about Experian's "Bullseye" system would be greatly appreciated.

1*Has anyone every heard of this "Bulls eye" nonsense?

2*Experian has advised us that although 'Bullseyes' are reported by them as inquiries, they are listed in a separate section of your credit report and that 'Bullseye' inquiries do not affect or impact a customer's credit score in any way."

1*Sounds more like BullShi* to me.
2*The mere fact that a collection agency is listed trashes more than just your score.

While looking for some on-line examples of the Universal Data Form, I ran across a site belonging to Credit Data of Illinois, Inc. http://www.cdillinois.com/

Obviously an Experian affiliate, there were a number of interesting Experian reports.

For example, something called the Bullseye Report, as a replacement for the UDF:

Thought they may be of some interest to see what is being reported.
