I am 25 years old, and learning as much as I can to raise my credit score. I went from a 750+ to barely 640+. I had some work problems, and my debt piled up.

I'm paying the minimum and snowballing my credit cards one at a time, but now I'm dealing with some pesky a** utility companies. I have a past due cell phone bill, and a past due closed cable account that I am paying on.

It's going to take me a few months to pay them off. But they are the ones harrassing me. I'm trying to make sure that they stay off of my account (the cell phone bill will make it to my CR eventually because it's so big).

So hopefully with this site, I'll be on my way to better credit.

Welcome to the board. After you read all of the intro posts (maybe several times), ask your specific questions and we'll try to help.

Thanks you guys. I've been reading the newbie should read posts, it's a lot of stuff, so I'm slowly shifting through. In some time though, everything should start to make a little bit of sense.
