Are you a joint user like an authorized user? If so, as long as you do not owe discover any money. They will add you

Nope I don't owed them... My buddy and I decided to go tthat route, so it can help my score a bit... the CL is 15000.00 14years history and BAl 1600.00, although I do have about three baddies on my CR, so I was wondering if they have to pull my CR in other to add me?

Why not add yourself as an authorized user as opposed to a joint holder?

An AU gets all the benefits of the history of the TL, BUT does not become financially liable if somewhere down the road your buddy runs into money troubles.

And, they won't have to pull your cr.

Also, if you run into money troubles as a joint holder, I believe they can jack the interest rates on the card. Might not make your buddy to happy :)

"AU" is better in MOST cases...

The benefit of the TRADE LINE with-out the RISK of having to pay with a "JOINT"

I do know that, but Im trying to buy a house in July.... I figured out, I'll be getting out more credit from Lenders than being just an AU

Your thinking is a little backwards. If you are a joint holder then you have the POTENTIAL to owe xxx dollars, while as an AU that potential is not there.

Lenders used to look at that potential in measuring risk, I don't know if they still do.

When you are BUYING a house...you gotta' be careful what you do MONTHS BEFORE...

PILING ON ADDITIONAL CREDIT IS NOT ONE OF THEM.

I borrowed "SECRET" money and PAID OFF ALL CREDIT CARDS EXCEPT ONE and still had my NEST EGG FOR THE DOWN PAYMENT
