One more question. Researching info and found this in a past post. Does the section I starred mean the same thing as a signed application? Is an signed application the same as what I have highlighted below? Does it apply to credit cards or only other types of loans?

"In addition to the questionnaire below, please attach copies of:

Agreement with your client that grants you the authority to collect on this alleged debt
**Agreement that bears the signature of the alleged debtor wherein he agreed to pay the creditor**
Any insurance claims been made by any creditor regarding this account
Any judgments been obtained by any creditor regarding this account"

Still trying to find info re: this. What I really need to know is: Is a signed application the same as a legal instrument showing an obligation to pay an alleged debt? Or does this mean a signed receipt? This is confusing.

Also some say don't sign letters and some say do sign letters. Well, I have signed them so probably too late now but does this debate still go on? Now if I start to NOT sign letters to the same 'OC' and CRA's will this hurt my complaints? (as opposed to closing with a Font signature instead).

1*An application merely means that one applied for something but does not obligate you to pay anything .
A signed contract or written agreement is the instrument that obligates you to pay something, but just because there may be such a signed instrument doesn't prove you owe anybody anything.
Did you ever sign an application for a job , loan or an appartment ? Were you ever forced to take the job or the loan or the appartment.
2*I've never seen not signing as a problem.

    Thanks, lbrown59

If an application is not enough then perhaps there are options since. The CRA's have been written to (whole process) with poor results and the card company is not budging. But what to do with their 'evidence' is the next question. If what they have sent is not enough then what to do next? Anyone?

Estoppel to the 'OC' then? Since this is not in the hands of a CA or anything. Then I will read Estoppel info....thanks :)
