I have a closed Fleet account (closed by creditor) that I am prepared to pay off (~$400, with an outrageous APR of 28.9%).

My CRA reports list 30-day lates from 2000 & 1999 that I would like to have removed. Should I call CS & ask them to remove the lates in exchange for the payment, or send a goodwill adjustment letter?

Also, I tried disputing an old Chase account that was paid off in '92 -- but seems to have been re-aged by Chase so that the DLA was 1996 ("this will continue to be reported though 2003"). I disputed with Experian but they came back saying it was "verified". What can I do? Do I dispute with Chase or handle it through Experian (it only shows up on Experian).

Any advice would be most helpful.

    Thanks.

    1. don't pay a dime unless u get something in return. shoot send me the money in that case.

    2. You need to deal with Chase on the DOLA. tell u need documentation. they probally won't have any info or proof. Have u disputed with CRA yet? thx
