I hope I am not being redundant- I searched back a bit through the forums to find the answer- but I have a brief question.

I have about $5000 in outstanding credit card debt over 5 cards, 1 over 2k, 2 over 1 k, the rest small amounts. I am working on paying them down to below the 10% line as quickly as I can manage, and won't carry balances as soon as I can manage, but I was wondering in terms of building my credit score back up and just overall repayment options, am I best suited to see if I can get a loan from my credit union within the next few months, or just pay down the cards paycheck to paycheck?

    Thanks again.

So long as the balances do not exceed 33% of the limits, you're fine. Just pay them down bit by bit. If they are killing you in terms of interest, find a new card (preferably business card) with a good teaser rate on b/t.
