I sent a deletion letter to a CA and they responded with this letter .

We recieved your letter today offering to pay $62.52 as full settlement on the above referenced account in exchange for deletion of any derogatory reporting to the credit bureau's . Remit $62.52 within ten(10)days from the date of this letter to avoid any additional charges and collection efforts . Once recieved , we can report the changes to the credit bureau's. If you have any question's , please call our office

They did not sign the letter I sent them ? Should I sent them a casher's check with a endorsment of dept payed in full for deletion ? Let me know what you would do . Thanks Toolhound

The only changes they plan on reporting to the credit bureau is to update it to PAID COLLECTION.

Treat this as tho they absolutely ignored your settlement offer.

What would you do in that event?

    They are playing word games:

They didn't say what changes. I agree with the others that all they will do is report it as paid. I would call them and tell them you will require a signed letter stating they will delete the acct when paid. Should they fail to do this, don't pay.
At that point I would send a validation letter and they can then prove it.

I sent a heads up letter to the OC with a copy of the deletion letter that I sent the CA . I wanted them to make sure that they understand that I could be layed off or on stike by the end of the month . I will call the OC tomorrow to follow up on the letter .
