Yummy,

You have to wait for your investigation results.

It is cut and dry and straight forward and not about interpretation, we're just having some brain aerobics that doesn't have anything to do with you directly.

Based on your question, you should give the sticky threads a shake-down.

TY Butch!!!!!!!!!

• Yummy,

"sticky threads" - the threads at the top of the board, the "INTRO" and "MUST READ" threads.

"shake-down" - read them, educate yourself. Did you read "To Live Not To Die. as I advised you?

"TY" - To You.

Don't be confused by our brain game, your situation is one thing we both agree on. As I told you in my last post - we haven't forgotten about you! Wait until 11/28/03 and tell us what happened. Or, if you get any response earlier - let us know.

Thanks, I already read all of those before I did my first post and yes I have already read To Not to Die.

• Oh yeah, Butch, definitely ... OC's "may not furnish without notice" and CRA's "shall clearly note that it is disputed" are two different things. And one should be ready to hear an argument like the one you named - "we are under no obligation to renotify the CRA".

Our argument started when I told Yummy not to blame the OC for not responding, because the OC is not obligated to respond to us. I didn't say we cannot dispute, I agreed with Sassy that better paperwork will serve us better in court proving that we had no other choice, but going to court.

I agree with you too, that in some cases it's court's job to find out what the truth is. This is why we have courts - if we could find out everything by ourselves, we woudn't need the courts.

The point I'm trying to make here and in other threads (arguments) is, that we must know the law. Young didn't know it, wasn't prepared for this kind of argument. Once we know the law, of course we can play dumb (noboody expects us to be familiar with the law at all) and dispute all we want.

I read a case (don't remember which one) where the defendant answered to about 2/3 of plaintiff's accusations with "doesn't concern us, concerns a third party". See what I mean?
• Thanks for the good words, Butch. After an argument like this one with Sassy, I needed a pat on the shoulder :)

I'll give FCRA about two more weeks, then I'm starting with the FDCPA ...

Yummy,

One thing we all agree on to the letter is that you'll need to hang in there until your investigation is done.

Don't worry about being confused Yummy, you're supposed to be. We're just exercizing over a few technical points.

There really does come a day when, all of a sudden you wake up one morning and it's like ... "oh yeah" ... "now I get it". (Unfortunately there are a LOT of those) lol

You're doin fine.

:)
