Ok here is where I am with things. 2 deletions from TU - 4 to go....3 deletions from EXP - 5 to go ...4 deletions from EQ - 4 to go...I applied for Radio Shack about two weeks ago and got the "further review required". I have not received anyhting in the mail yet. I applied for my own Nextel account and had to "surrender" a $500 deposit. I did to get my entire family on the 2-way radio deal. I applied for Target last night and also got the "further review" crap. What is up with this? What is my next step. I have already started my next round of disputes...Lost

I wouldn't continue applying until you get some more deletions. What kind of negs. are left on your reports? That may tell you what the problem is.

A few charge offs and about 2 collections which have been paid this week to the tune of $400.00.

Well, the paid collections probably don't show yet, and depending on how old the charge offs are, that probably is the reason you are or will get denied. Again, dispute those things, get rid of a few more and try again. Maybe try Providian, Capital 1, FCNB. Direct Merchants Bank has a deal callec "guaranteed credit" where if you apply for a card and are turned down, they will offer you a secured card, usually $500 for a $99 deposit.

    Good Luck!

Providian is a no go with me. Cap 1 is dead and gone with me..I am hoping to continue "negotiations" with my father to add me on to one of his platinum accts and go from there.I have been in negotiations with him for 2 months now.

You can try one of the others I mentioned or you could try FCNB at www.fcnb.com - from what I've heard they offer you 3 -4 times your deposit as a credit line. You might also try orchard bank.
