I've been using Credit Expert and Credit Watch for almost a year now to repair my credit. I have a yearly subscription that allows for unlimited credit report pulls on both sites (well CreditWatch every 24hrs) I also use the Transunion site to pull my report every month or so for $3.75 Anyhow, I am begining to start working on my Wifes account. Currently what are the best sites to pulle reports and do online disputes? I've been pretty successful doing online disputes on my own reports and would like to continue doing that.
Is your priority your FICO score or information in the report. From what I have found there are trade offs to consider. From my personal experience; If you go directly to the CRA for the report "disputing" is easier, some can provide an accurate FICO score if you order the correct type of score, by that I mean all three offer their own "personal credit scores" but these usually are not FICO scores. The drawbacks I have found with using the 3 in 1 reports are that if you dispute the information in their reports with the original CRA, the CRA just claims "well, it isn't our report" even tho the 3 in 1 company claims it came directly from that CRA, it appears they can get away with this because the 3 in 1's are "3rd reporting parties" either not specifcally covered in the FCRA as accountable or no one has yet been able to hold them accountable if they are! I have frequenlty found information in the 3 in 1 that really alarms me yet the original CRA says "that isn't in our files". Example; When I ran MyFICO's ( a third reporting agency) Experian report, it showed 8 of my accounts as all having a 90 day late ! When I contacted Experian they just claimed "that's not in our files" and "it isn't our report" When I called MYFICO they claimed "well it came from Experian, it is deep in their layers of information" I tried to get MYFICO to contact Exp about this and they sent me a copy of their email it was really lame, no note of the addressee and not signed by anyone I got the impression it was made up just for me and I don't really believe it was sent to anyone.
Priority is information. I'm about to start Credit repair so that's of more priority than the Fico score.
