Would anyone like to post their letter to an Attorney General on the board or e-mail it to me? I am ready to send one to the IL Attorney General on Arrow and I would like to see a sample to see if I'm headed in the right direction.

Also, who has any success stories after sending the letter to the AG?

    rblues,
I'll help..worked with Il and CO as well as many others. First, though, did you go to their website and see if Arrow was still licensed and all o.k.? Also, they have a form you can print out there so "letter" not necessary.

Hi Nana. By going to their website, I'm assuming you mean the IL AG website. No, I haven't. I was going to do that monday morning. Could you point me in exactly the right direction that I should be looking at for this licensing info. They have a list?

Sorry to be so needy with all this, but I'm new to the whole AG complaint thing. I have copied a few sites that the board has recommended for looking up licensing, but I haven't had a chance to look at them yet. I've been so busy validating that I haven't even had a chance to become an "expert" on complaining, so any help is appreciated.

OK, I'll give you the exact link but it's really a simple search on your search engine. For instance, use the search engine www.google.com. Then, type in Illinois Attorney General and press search. Presto....a list of the links to their website.

The Illinois Attorney General is at:

    http://www.ag.state.il.us/

Consumer protection link at their site is:
    http://www.ag.state.il.us/consumer/consume.htm

There you will find there is an Illinois Collection Agency Act you'll want to familiarize yourself with. You can do a search again for "Illinois Collection Agency Act"

All of this took me to the pot of gold at:

    http://www.dpr.state.il.us/WHO/coll.asp

where there is a link to do the search of all license holders/non-holders in a section called "License Lookup" at the bottom of the page.

    https://www.dpr.state.il.us/licenselookup/namesearch.asp

Search Engines are a consumer's best friend! Teehee
