Age of credit and student accounts

I have a bunch of student loans on my credit report(about 10)--all in good standing. However, over the last year, all 10 accounts have been transferred from one servicing company to another to now, the Dept of Education.

The original accounts are dated around 2003, the transferred accounts are dated 2009/2010, and for some reason on equifax the dates are listed as 1/1/0001???.

So is any of the above hurting my credit score? Just curious if I should do something about these or not.

I could post a screen shot of how they're listed if that'd be any help.

    Thanks

I'll try to do some more research on the details of how average age of accounts work.

Yea post how they are being reported. Most likely this isn't hurting your score, it may actually be helping it as the length good of credit history is longer then what it actually should be.

Ok -- what's the best way to post? Is there a way to post attachments or...?
