I HAVE GOOD CREDIT AND SEVERAL PLATINUM CREDIT CARDS WITH VERY LITTLE OUTSTANDING BALANCES AND NO ANNUAL FEES WITH LOW INTEREST. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE AN AIRLINE ISSUED VISA OR MC THAT OFFERS FREQUENT FLIER MILES WITH PURCHASES. I DO NOT WANT TO PAY AN ANNUAL FEE OR HIGH INTEREST RATES.

Well, have looked at this extensively ... and the best answer I can is that they don't exist. They all have annual fees, charge higher interest rates, and have shorter "grace periods".

If you use the card a LOT (like I do), the best bet is paying off your balance quickly (within the grace period, which is usually SHORTER than your billing cycle). Figure out if it's worth it.

American Express's Rewards Plus Gold Card is pretty good, especially if you're planning on giving a card to someone else and you plan to do most of your spending on the card. The miles go into most hotel and airline programs, and they have other bonuses as well. And, of course, the interest isn't an issue.

    Hope this helps.
