I just pulled my equifax report off credit watch and all of my creditor names are listed under headings like "bank", "finance", etc; the name of the creditor is no longer listed. I just checked my report two days ago and they were still listed under the creditor's name. This would mean that I need to do a inq to the CRA to find out who new listers are as opposed to communicating with the creditor directly first. This would also cause problems with the inquiries because you cant tell which are hard and which are soft. I cant tell if these new headings are being viewed by creditors pulling my account. Two hard inquires look like 22 viewable inquires. I know this sound like mish mosh but can some of you check your eq report and find out if your creditor names are still being listed.
Mine showed up the same way, but if you click the tabs showing account summary, inquiries, etc.. the actual creditor name shows up.
Calm down. it sounds like they are working on the BIG problem that eventually locks you out of viewing your report online - when your file gets too big because of all the inquiries. So, imagine this - at the end of your report there is a list that says "bank," "credit card," "whatever" and each one is a hyperlink to a page that lists all bank inquiries, or all credit card inquiries, etc. It would solve their problem, for a while, anyway. Make sense?
