HI! Hubby and I are moving into a new condo on a lease-purchase, and will be purchasing before the end of the year. We currently have Progressive for auto insurance and Horrace Mann for renters and have gotten quotes from Allied for both that would be a BIG savings. Last year at this time we applied with Allied and were turned down due to husbands credit. Mine is great (credit expert 730) but last year we were just beginning his cleansing journey. Last year they pulled TU, which is now his best report, with only 3 charge off's, 1 is now paid and one will be by the time we apply. No other judgements, etc. Have any of you been approved through Allied with negs on your report? If so, what kind of negs?? Does anyone have any inside info on their standards?? THANKS!!

    Shanna

Tell them that you want to be listed as the first named insured, and your husband as the second. Most likely, then, the credit will be pulled off of your name.

Why do insurance companys pull credit reports anyways? Here in Mass if you dont pay you lose your insurance as simple as that..Wife just got her license and put a 1994 ford taurus on the road..Wish they did report it paid for the whole year..$1,400 I cant wait till that comes down a bit.Thats without collision yet..

Somebody decided that there was a link between people's driving habits and their credit.
SO IF YOU HAVE ROTTEN CREDIT AND NEVER HAD A CLAIM OR ACCIDENT OR HAD ANY TICKETS...YOU BETTER START HAVING ACCIDENTS, CLAIMS, AND TICKETS RIGHT NOW BECAUSE THE CREDIT REPORT SAYS YOU ARE A BAD DRIVER!!!

The practice needs to be against the law.
    It's a ripoff.
