Dave, I contacted Providian at the number you posted and sorry to say I got the same BS that I got last night. I just noticed a post from another user that stated he got taken care of by telling them he had another offer. Let me try and see what happens. With my luck they'll close my account! Have a good one. Sorry to hear that. While there are many of us here who have had success with Providian, many many others have told your story. I really can't say why different people are treated differently by Providian other than to tell you that I use my Providian accounts a lot, and on one of them I usually have a balance and I pay way more than the minimum payment each month on that account.
