I've got a First Premier secured card ($225) that's been perfect since I opened it (about a year ago). I applied for a Future Card the other day. Future card is serviced by First Premier bank also. I called tonight for a status and the lady said they needed to verify my address - I moved in the last moht or so, so this is understandable. Would they even be questioning this if I was declined? They already pulled my credit last week (TU).
ARE YOU DESPERATE???? DON'T FORGET THE FIRST BILL WILL ALSO INCLUDE AN OVER-LIMIT FEE!!! Account Set-Up Fee: $19.00 (One-time fee), Program Fee: $79.00 (One-time fee), Annual Fee: $69.00 the first year and $50.00 every year thereafter, Participation Fee of $72.00 Annually*, Additional Card Fee: $20.00 Annually (if applicable)
Close to it. I'd like to get a card to replace Nextcard given its uncertainty. I will also be closing my most recent Bank of Hoven card issued by Credit Store because they will not be able to validate the original debt they transferred to it to begin with. I'm not overly upset about the fees. I can pay them easily upfront. I'm actually impressed by First Premier. I got ripped off on a $40 purchase. Within 4 days after I disputed the transaction, they credited me the $40 back into my account.
tmitchell, FCNB secured is a good card to replace Nextcard secured card. They give up to 3 times credit limit as much as your deposit. They reported your account to the bureaus monthly and reported your account as unsecured. Their websires is http://www.fcnb.com Ron.
