Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Am I unemployable? I only had ONE check for employment...one of those places that are a FEE FOR THE JOB PLACES...I WOULD HAVE HAD TO PAY THE FIRST $3,600 (OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT) BEFORE I MADE $0.01 THEY PROMISED THE MOON...but my parents made me BACK OUT!!! ...LIKE $20,000 MORE THAN MY FATHER WAS MAKING WHO WAS IN AEROSPACE... YA KNOW +/- .001 Unless some of those AR's are from WAL*MART employment...NOT WAL*MART store card...
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Am I unemployable? Yeah, I got involved with one of them one time. And I only kept the job for a few weeks, but I think the company ended up paying the fees. I claimed they lied to me. They said I got 2 weeks of vacation and I could go to school, no problem. Then when I signed up for night classes they said we had mandatory overtime and no way could I leave to go to school. Then when I asked about taking time off I was informed that the two weeks vacation was when they shut down for a week at July 4th and a week at Christmas. Otherwise you couldn't take any time off. So, when I quit and claimed they lied, I think the agency made them pay. I know I refused to. And I've never used one of those services since. Right now I'm lucky, I could probably leave my job and have a choice of several within days.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Am I unemployable? That was my point about the franchises...you don't make much money. I am spoiled rotten when it comes to serving. I worked in a historical restaurant in Ohio (2nd oldest hotel in Ohio to be exact). It has lots of charm like the christmas greenery and lights all year around (which was my idea). I made VERY good money working there. The restaurant is located in a small town and you have alot of regulars. Regulars are the tippers. It is hard to work 2nd shift with children though. You never get to see them! Oh well, I guess I'll figure something out.
