Hi all, anyone have this card ??? I think it's issued by Bank One aka First USA. Is it tough to get ??? Thx.
Not any tougher than MBNA or Citi. As long as you have not outstanding 60+ day lates or too many inqs (they hate that). Then you should be OK.
I feel this is somewhat a win-win situation because I applied for the card at amazon.com with the $30 coupon promotion (if approved). So if I get approved I get $30, if denied, I get a free credit report. Only thing I lose is the inquiry, I guess.
I have it but am not too happy with it! I find that not all items on amazon.com are able to be charged to it. Some of the merchants on there are not amazon.com merchants and it will deny your credit. I have had that happen twice already and it is getting old. My amazon.com credit card is issued thru Citibank USA, NA, not Bank One and the online format to check your balance, etc. is the same as my regular citibank platinum card. It was easy to get and I got 750cl to start off. I just used it a few months ago for two CD's off amazon.com and it worked great. I paid it in full. The last two orders I've tried have both been denied because they weren't amazon.com merchants. I called CS and they said if the button that you click to add to your shopping cart says anything other then "amazon.com" above it then your card WILL NOT work. But it is supposed to change come January she said that all merchants on amazon.com will accept the amazon.com credit card.

Actually called just now and found out that the app was processed a few days ago, but no decision yet. Hope it doesn't take the full 30 days. Way too long to wait.
Everyone I hear is getting the "Requires more review" thing..so I'm wondering if they do..yes.... I agree, Steve, it seems archaic ...sigh..ok...will wait...
Hi everyone! I'm new to the these boards. Hubby applied on 11/26, got a letter yesterday saying they needed a copy of a utility bill to prove that he was who he said he was and if they didn't hear back they would close the application. Isn't that weird? Hope that helps someone. Laurie
