Update: Just found out that I have to provide a proof of address (utility bill or phone bill). Does this mean I will be approved ??? I did move to a new place a few months ago, so I guess the new address on my report wan't updated yet.

When I called the number I hit the number to check on the status, it then asks me for my ss #. I enter it, but it transfers me to a CSR. I think the CSR has the most up to date info.

The reason for the address verication is due to the Patriot Act that was put into law on October 1st..Hope that you get apprved.. Merry xmas

I was actually happy to hear about the verification process because everyone knows how rampant identity theft is right now. Glad to see someone is doing something about it.

I use a Mailbox Etc. for my address and the last few times I've they've been requesting an address verification.

I think the filters might be picking up the non residential address. So far the utility bills I've sent back have passed the test except for Umbrella Bank.
They said it wasn't enough proof.

    Hope this helps.

IT IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR THE MAILMAN TO DELIVER YOUR MAIL TO "THAT" ADDRESS...BUT it is not good enough for UMBRELLA BANK???

I know somebody that lives it the BOONIES...they MUST use a PO BOX (FREE)...UMBRELLA BANK gonna' tell the POST OFFICE they CAN'T do that???

I really don't believe Umbrella Bank is saying they can't deliver MAIL to this person. They verify address due to fraud. Anyone with a PO box could be fraudulantly getting accounts,etc...

Think of it as protection for you not against you. Like when you go to the bank and they ask for ID....they are protecting your account. I'm glad when someone wants to verify my stuff, not upset.

Same as before: that they'll only complete the review after they get a copy of my utility or phone bill. Too bad I don't have these on me as I'm away from home on vacation. I guess I have to wait till after New Year's to even fax the info. when I get home.
