Does anyone have any info on this CA? My CR has no kind of contact info. TU affiliate won't tell me over the phone. Has to be a written request. I don't want to wait thirty-forty days for their address. Thanks

If this is American Agencies I got a letter from them you can find here.

Their address is shown on the envelope. Also, in the lower left corner of the letter there are addresses for various offices. I think there may also be another thread that has their address.

Well, You are 100% right. I mulled on the phone with Credit Bureau Inc of New york over who this was, they couldn't tell me. they are a TU affiliate and are very difficult to deal with. My TU report had no contact info about this collection. They would not tell me over the phone, said I had to write in a dispute then they would contact them. Anyhow, that took one hour of talking and being on hold. I post here and it took 5 minutes to get a response. Thanks a million.

Now that I got a hold of this CA, I must say that they are the most pathetic CA I have ever dealt with. They got a hold of an old phone account that another CA couldn't verify, thus strike one for the other CA. The first guy I talked with could not spell. I am really being serious, he could not spell. Very slow going. I asked a bunch of questions-he hung up. I call back, I asked where they were sending the letters to and they gave me some bogus address. He asked for my info, I gladly gave him the right address(get a proper paper trail started) he then ask for my employer, I politely told him that it was unavailable. He got mad and said, "you are required under the civil code to give me this info", I asked him which civil code, he thought for a second and said with a drawn out expresion," civil code 33615", what a goof ball, I laughed at him on the phone-he hung up. Next I get a manager, she said that the account was 350.00, I asked how it jumped up 174.00, she couldn't tell me. The next guy said they had duplicated the balance. I know this is true because my credit report reflects this. Anyhow, thought this was funny stuff.
