These practiced pummellers of credit have taken my TU report hostage for another 3.5 years. The account in question is a paid collection, and I'm wondering if any of victims out there have managed any form of successful negotiations with them--to essentially have them banished from your reports. They are the sole assassin responsible for picking off any potential "prime" credit saviours who appear before me. I've recently seen the slain corpse of Chase fall before me, after I had the courage to apply with them online.
Have you tried the usual "Not Mine" or can they prove it belongs to you? American Agencies in Torrance, CA was one of my 1st disputes with TU. Within a couple of days after initiating the dispute (by phone), I got a statement from them. I didn't respond and amazingly, at the 30-day point, TU deleted it for some reason. Go figure!
