This CA showed up on my report out of the blue last month-- sent validation with no response and the tradeline was just verified. I've never received anything from them. Really ticked off cause I am so close to a clean TU report-- they are reporting DOLA as 2002 and I have no idea what the collection is for (whatever it is, there is no way it is recent. Im too diligent about paying my bills now for that to happen). Anyone have experience dealing with American agencies?
If you never recieved anything from them and you live Calif then they are in violation of Calif Civil Codes. You can do a search here for the specific codes and the fines are good size. Is this for PAC BELL? AA is big CA for them. They are also notorious for violations of the FDPCA and it looks like you already have them for violations. File all your complaints with the AG and BBB andcontinue to get them for violations. If you are persistent they can fold and you can get it deleted.
Just looked at my new TU report and I see it is SW Bell... I haven't lived in SW Bell area for 5 years and my most recent phone line in the SW Bell area was in hubbies name only, so this has gotta be way past 7 years.
