As most of you know, American Agencies corporate status has been suspended for quite sometime now. The next question most people usually ask is "What does that mean?" Here is a link i found that talks about it somewhat... http://www.curtis-arata.com/winart/modbeesus.html Hope it provides some insight, and feel free to correct if wrong....
Thank you! I had asked about that months ago. The problem is, although they are suspended and have been for quite some time now, Evil Experian has chosen to not end the contract with them, but instead, to continue to validate things!

Just recently I disputed an *old* telephone bill that American Agency had. It was on my Transunion, and my Experian reports. It came off rather easy...Guess it went to the right person.Yea! They are not Bonded in my state, so maybe that helped! Good Luck! Monanell
I also just got an American Agencies collection removed from my TransUnion. Easy as pie. If it reappears, there'll be hell to pay.
I have challenged them repeatedly. They have listed the same account multiple times, and always have the wrong date associtated with the account. And when you call them....forget it they are the biggest A-holes in the world. I just disputed it again anyone have any other advice?
All I did with TU was dispute: "This account is disputed. Please delete." 30 days later, it was gone.

My husband recently had a disputed item removed from his credit report. Months later they re-inserted the trade line back onto his report without any notice to us. You said there would be hell to pay if an item was put back on your report, just wondering if you know how to handle a situation like that. Thanks
See FCRA Section 611(a)(5). The CRA and the Collection Agency have to do a number of things exactly right for reinsertion to be valid. Chances are they'll screw up, and even so, I'll just dispute again.
