Need advice from anybody dealt with this collection agency. This company inserted false, bogus and fictitious entry to my credit file. Please tell me what can I do? I called them and sent them validation letter. They are very rude and evil, always ask for Social Security Number, not the account number. If you are someone worked for this company or dealt with before please help me. I will appeciate it a lot. Thaks to all of you again. You guys are very helpful. Always!
I disputed an alleged $1300 phone collection with them via TU by phone. About 7-10 days later I get a bill from them with my UPDATED address. I ignored it and 2 weeks later TU deleted it.
American Agencies........arghhhhh! They are absolutely evil. They are right up there with Experian. I recently had a similar situation with them placing an account on TU that wasn't mine. Based on my experience, calling them is WORTHLESS! They strung me along for over two months. In this two month time period, I supplied AA with every bit of information that proved it was not mine. Long story. Basically, the only way I was able to get the wrongful account deleted was by filing a dispute with TU. TU forced AA to delete. Within about two weeks of my dispute, it was off the TU report. I highly recommend you dispute this account with the CRA, I really do not think you are going to get anywhere directly dealing with AA. Good Luck!
