American Express checks which CRA?

    Hi all,

    I was wondering if anyone knows which credit bureau American Express checks for new applications?

    Just some more info:

    I am living in Missouri. I would like to get an Amex Gold Card for travel purposes. My TU and Experian reports are clean, with one negative on my Equifax report. My scores are mid to high 600's (debt to credit limit is keeping them below 700).

    I would like to know which CRA Amex would pull from so I can mazimize my chances of getting approved. Thanks.

    www.millcbs.com only lists one post for folks in Missouri, and the CRA is equifax.

    Hopefully others here can tell you otherwise.

    I applied for AMEX on 05/15/2002 and they pulled Equifax.

    I applied for Amex at the end of April and they pulled TransUnion.

    VA - I have had them pull EFX and EXP.

    I live in Southern Ca and they always pull TU.

    I'm in SoCal also, but they pulled EQ for me.

    They have pulled equifax for me each time I applied.

    Experian for me -- every time. Las Vegas, Nevada.

    i applied and got Amex blue 10.99% product..

    i live in So. Cal...and they pullled Transunion

    I spoke to an Amex Cs person a few months ago and she told me they pull all three at random - only one per applicant - but it could be any one of the three.
    Amex pulled Experian for me - So. Cal.
    So it's a toss of the dice really.
    My suggestion:
    Apply with fingers crossed and PRAY they pull your best one.

    Hey, when you applied, you say they pulled Trans Union, where are you from? i'm in Florida =)
