Does anyone know if household bought or merged with American pacific bank, I just pulled a report from equifax and what was my AP bank information is now listed as Household Bank, address is the same as it was only the name has changed, when I spoke to CSR at creditwatch she stated that their computers show it is correct(I know that means nothing) Just curious ????

I also have the same thing. Thank you for bringing this up. My American Pacific bank account is 17.5 months old. I will for sure call tommorow to find out what is going on. I was looking foward to the 18 month point for the unsecured.

I was just on the phone with Gwen from American Pac. Bank and she says 'NO" it should not be listed that way. They are not affiliated nor have they been bought out by Household Bank, they are their own bank. Anything before 1996 may list differently, but she is puzzled as well. You may need to call and have a UDF filed on this so your credit report reads correctly.

I also spoke with Gwen, I let her know that the rep from Equifax told me that the tradeline was correct and that the two banks had merged and that " we dont make mistakes" I thought she was going to die laughing, The banks are not merged and Gwen is working to fix the problem, she even put the quote from the rep on her letter to Equifax.
    Hope it gets fixed soon
