I recently went to Bud Hibbs web site. http://www.budhibbs.com/ http://www.budhibbs.com/americasworst.htm quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About Bud Hibbs... Bud Hibbs is a nationally recognized expert in the area of consumer credit and debt collection practices. He is NOT an attorney; rather an advocate associated with consumer law and advocacy professionals from around the nation. Author of the American Credit System Guilty! Until Proven Innocentâ? and â??Stop It! A Consumerâ??s Guide to Stopping Collection Agency Harassmentâ?, Bud Hibbs is a veteran of radio and television featured on Phil Donahue, Oprah Winfrey, CNN Headline News, CNBC, ABC, CBS, as well as a former host of his own talk radio show from Dallas, Texas. Bud is a current member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates, a non-profit association of attorneys and consumer advocates committed to representing consumerâ??s interests. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have an account listed on my credit report from one of what he has listed as "America's Worst Collection Agencies?". I used Bill Bauer's CREDIT WRENCH program. I will now say, I am very impressed with his program. Here are the latest results just received from one of "America's Worst Collection Agencies?": "Please be advised that this office has instructed the major credit reporting agencies to delete the account information pertaining to the above referenced account. We apologize for an inconvenience, which may have been caused. Very truly yours, ################ Director ################## " I am jazzed about the results so far. Unlike all the other "SELF HELP" programs out there, which give you 1 or 2 steps to do over and over again, Bill's program has about 10 steps to follow. I had to use 4 steps to get these results. The other thing I like, is that I do NOT have to LIE to anybody about whether this account is mine or is inaccurate or why I am "DISPUTING" anything. Thanks again Bill, roger
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS Actually, Roger, I like that part of Bill's approach too -- not having to lie. (I have paid Mr. Bauer his due, although I've not begun with it quite yet. I'm letting Lexington do its job with the CRAs for now.) There is one CA I'm going after directly, though, and I believe Bill's CreditWrench (terrible name, lol) may just do the trick. We'll see. Continue to keep us posted. Randy
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS Don't laugh about my terrible choice for a name there feller. If you do that you are running a terrible risk that I just might agree with you!!! (LOL) I didn't and don't like it either, but I haven't been able to come up with a better alternative that is registerable as a domain name. These new domain suffixes might hold some promise. Just have not thought about it all that much. Have a nice one.
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS Hehe, I guess I'm the guy in the back of the class who jokes about the teacher's shirt. Randy
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS Hey, Hey, Hey...you talkin' about teachers here? Don't you know that, when we are hired, we are given a rule book which requires us to wear dorky shirts??? Harumph! LOL
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS You teachers need to take a page out of one of my grade school superintendant's book. Back when I was in the 8th grade in a small shool in a country farm town of 75 people total population, this kewl kat superintendant used to wear a brilliant yellow zoot suit with a dangling chain about 3 feet long. Farm kids back in the late 1930's didn't think that was so kewl at all. When we got through with his yellow zoot suit, he wasn't too happy to say the least. LOL
Someone by the name of "Misty" has posted a link to another site in another forum that provides dynamite information. It shows exactly what credit repair techniques can do for you and it shows it with such vivid clarity that it is almost unbelieveable, yet it's authenticity cannot be doubted. In a sense, it shows exactly what good credit repair is worth, and why it's so important. Just go study the entire set of slides at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/creditscoring/present/sld001.htm and you will get your eyes opened up wide in a real hurry. And a real salute to Misty for her findings and for sharing them with the people reading this board.
If you are wanting my website addy and can't seem to get it to work for you, send me an email and then I'll log on and send you a copy of the page by email
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS Bill, I think ledo was referencing the "Misty" link you posted. It didn't work for me either. Randy
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS OK. That makes sense to me. All those dots in there. Funny, they didn't give mine a lick of problems. Here it is again http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/creditscoring/present/sld001.htm That one ought to make it work.
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS WELL I'LL BE A MONKEY'S UNCLE! Did it again! Let's try something else. http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/creditscoring/present/sld001.htm gov/bcp/creditscoring/present/sld001.htm bet that don't bust out in pimples! You might have to do some filling in the pimples.ER make the blanks, but I bet you get there that way. Why are we in THAT handbasket????
Re: America's Worst C.A.s - SUCCESS WOW! There sure is a lot of traffic on this forum today! Amazing!
Another happy camper I just received this email from another happy camper Bill you are not going to believe this. The Collection agency (Account Recovery Consultants) that was not cooperative in the past is now kissing my rear. The collection manager whom was very rude to me. Is now more than happy to give me a letter and the universal data forms that they used to have it manually removed from CBC (CRA) a month ago. Once I told them that I would have to subpoena them they were very cooperative to say the least. I guess CBC is telling the collection agency that they do not remove items using universal data forms any longer, everything must be done electronically. I guess these folks are not used to deleting information when the consumer is demanding it. They seem baffled to say the least. You definately have some great ideas! Thanks!!! Do we cheatum - courtroom saga Although the site still lacks two pages which will be put up in the next little while, the courtroom saga of Dewey Cheatum is unfolding at http://www.creditwrench.com/umax1.html http://www.creditwrench.com/umax2.html http://www.creditwrench.com/umax3.html http://www.creditwrench.com/umax4.html http://www.creditwrench.com/umax5.html Dewey Cheatum is a non de plume for a friend of mine who when into court and beat the pants off the collection agency and the creditor after judgement had been filed. The 5 pages tell the story and show how to do it and all the cites used in the case. Dewey Cheatum used our advice and went into court pro se and beat the daylights out of them. You can do the same. There will be a total of 5 different pro se cases posted on the website in the next few days as time permits. Each is the case of people I know here in Oklahoma City. In fact, the daughter of the lady in the case called Dorothy L. Citizen works for the same auto auction that I do. All cases will be complete with all the filings and all the cites used in each case. I will post these 5 case in this thread each time. so that you can go look and see for yourself how it's done.
Dorothy L. Citizen in court Continuing with the posting of actual court cases where pro se litigants went in and beat experienced attorneys at their own games, the court room saga of Dorothy L. Citizen is now posted at http://www.creditwrench.com/amax1.html http://www.creditwrench.com/amax2.html Doroty L. Citizen defeated an attorney with an Oklahoma Bar Association number of 103, meaning that he was one of the oldest professional practicing attorneys in the State of Oklahoma. He made mistakes in filing his petition for summary judgment in the amount of $14,000 against Dorothy L. Citizen , a 67 year old widow. The judgment, if it had been successful, would have taken away her home and she would have been homeless.
More postings of pro se litigation The petition to vacate void judgment is now posted at http://www.creditwrench.com/bmax1.html http://www.creditwrench.com/bmax2.html http://www.creditwrench.com/bmax3.html http://www.creditwrench.com/bmax4.html http://www.creditwrench.com/bmax5.html http://www.creditwrench.com/bmax6/html http://www.creditwrench.com/bmax7.html
Posting error. sorry http://www.creditwrench.com/bmax6.html is the correct URL for the one that is in error in the last post. Sorry about that.
The project A new page has been added to http://www.creditwrench.com it is at http://www.creditwrench.com/legalindex.html What this page will do is to give the links to all of the legal cases and other legal resources that I will be posting on the site as time goes on. Many of these posts will be cases where pro se litigants have gone into court with various arguments and won their cases. If you find anything of interest using the page and it's links, so much the better. If you don't, at least you won't be able to say I didn't try to give you some worthwhile material. How you use it or even if you use it is strictly up to you. Have fun.
