I applied and was approved for two LOC from Amex last friday. I received the two e-mails and was abble to see my two accounts when login to the site.

It changed today. I can see only one LOC, the other one was delete, I called to the
888 number and there is only one loc under my SS#.

Has it happened for anyone else??

I called the other day to combine both loc I have with amex. I was told that they don't to that and that I was only allowed 1 loc to begin with.

guess that is turning out to be true.

btw what was the limit of your loc geo?

Maybe the maximum allowed is a total of 25k.

If I remember right you had 2 20k accounts. Maybe thats why they deleted the 2nd one?

I hope this makes some sense.

My limit was 8.5K\each at Prime+3.99 and prime+2.99(Which is gone).

I have not received my checks or any material by mail yet. Probably they deleted the second loc when preparing the materials to send to me. Would see what happen!.

    I have 6 accounts -

    4 with a 25k limit @ +2.99
2 with a 20k limit @ +3.99 (I will be closing these two because of the higher apr)

I have received the checks for 3 of the accounts so far. All 6 are still showing.

It seems Amex is having trouble with these LOC accounts?? Seems everyone gets a different answer like nobody there knows what's going on?

They apparently can't combine LOC's. What they can do is put in a request to increase the first LOC by the amount of the second. But since both are new (at least for most of us here) that wouldn't work.

Multiple LOC's may even prompt their attention. Mine was then restricted. They said I needed to send utility bills to have them unrestricted. Could easily do it, but preferred to close mine and re-apply when I'm no longer a student, and am able get a higher initial limit.

I received access checks for both lines of credit today. Also both still appear on my online account and on the phone system as well.

    Quick ?-

How do you see your accounts online? I haven't been able to get my accounts # - and when I try the phone system, it asks for SSN# and PIN. I never got a PIN (yet)?

    Thx
