Amex app screens

    Can anybody enlighten me as the the post-submit screens an accepted vs rejected amex applicant sees?

    (I hit submit, saw "we are processing", switched windows, came back and saw a "do you want to BT" screen, figured I might have missed something good, didn't want to hit the back button, so I hit the new window button, and that was a big boo boo and messed everything up. Now I don't know anything and Amex can't tell me. Does anybody know what, if anything, this screen meant? Did I get online acceptance? Or is it just part of the app process regardless.)

    Call 800-962-7227 and check the status using your SSN. If that doesn't help, call the same number Monday morning and speak to a rep. Hope this helps.

    I kept calling and wasn't in the system...10 mins ago I showed up....."pending processing" whatever that means.

    I hope I didn't screw up what would have been an online instant and turn it into a manual review. Wish I knew whether that screen had any significance.
