AMEX has to be the biggest bunch of ballbusters I have ever seen. I have been AAA+ with a bullet as far a an AMEX customer. I charge several hundred K a year with them on business and most on my personal cards. Many yeas with them. I have the Green card and Starwood card on the personal side. They dont promote the Starwood card which is the best point card they offer and one of the best anywhere. You can get 300-400.00 hotel rooms with zero restrictions for 10K points per night. Buy 5 nights and one of them is free (no points) (Westin, W hotels etc) Less expensive hotels (4 points) as low as 3-4K a night. I recently asked them to raise the limit from 30K to 50K and they told me to get lost. I pay the bill within the billing cycle. I charge 30K pay it ,and would like to charge more. They tell me tough luck. No dice. They will reset the LIMIT when the cycle ends. No other card company does business like that. All the others reset your limit when you pay. They really frost my *ss. Anywhy I just wanted to vent a little and see if anyone else had this problem. The SPG card currently has a bonus on miles transferred to British Airways. You end up with 2 1/2 times the SPG points when you transfer... Rob
