   Hi all, some cards come with the benefit of assured reservations. I read something about this on the Amex website, but I still don't understand how it works. When you reserve a room with an Amex card, is the room automatically guaranteed or do you have to book it through Amex ?

   I use it all the time when I travel - when you make the hotel reservation with the AMEX - the Card keeps the room for you - no matter what.
   
   It worked GREAT at Hyatt at Dulles airport - a very busy Hyatt.
