    Hi,

At the time I didnâ??t know anything about credit, six months ago, and before Iâ??ve found this great community, I was foolish enough to ask for AMEX blue card. I made request over the phone. At that time I was with no credit history. Of course, I was denied.
I have my credit report now, and it shows that AMEX pulled 2 hard inquires on me â?? at Equifax and Trans Union.

Are they allowed to pull 2 hards for 1 application???!!!!!!!!! Since I learned a lots from you guys so far, (and still learning), I know that this hurts my score badly.

Can I dispute those hard inquires with AMEX? Can they be deleted?

    Thanks,
    Denny

nope. They found no data on one, so they went looking on alternate.

You can get as many as 3 from MBNA or 4 (ask me how i know).

mbna is even more thorough with their app's lol.

Best thing: don't apply and let them roll off the 12 month period.

Then again. I just got 2 blue cards with 34 inquires in the past 12 months. It's really about SCORE (750+) and previous relationship (having 4 cards with them already).

They will indeed give you the inquiry story if your internal score falls below their guidelines or if you have to talk to anyone.

But yes i had like 12 (after blues) in the past 6, and the rest in the past 12 and they hit equifax twice (one personal, one business) and got em.

I have 3 blue's now. they are getting boring.

Combine them. Big CLs always bring a smile to my face.

What do you mean 12 months? Aren't they suposed to stay in my file for 2 years? These are hard ones, not soft.

Anyone tried to dispute as "not mine"? Any success?

    Thanks,
    Denny

Alot of banks check 12 months inq's

Some only check 6 months, if you know the know.

But yeah they'll stay on for a while.

Anyhoo. Nah i like having separate cards.

Business lines rock, cause i have over 50K in them, so i can push/hide alot of debt off my credit reports and skyrocket my scores.

Contrary to popular belief amex business does give out good "FOR LIFE" no fee BT's if you can finagle them to their business lines.

    ;)

I GOT 4 or 5 FOR NO APPLICATION...

They were supposed to transfer FROM BLUE to make a DELTA account...

THEY NEED NO INQUIRES...THE CREDIT LIMIT ALREADY EXISTED!!!

    "B" MADE THEM GO!!!
