amex blue applied

    ok applied for amex blue online, got this:

    "We're sorry -- the system is not responding so we are unable to provide you with a decision at this time.

    However, we have all of the application information needed for processing. Your application will be processed as

    soon as possible, and we will notify you of the decision by mail in just a few weeks.

    Thank you for applying! "

    Is this a denial or is the site truely not responding? Havent ever applied for this before.

    You can call 1-800-THE-CARD and check the application status.

    Their credit service is down. Couldn't verify identity or check your credit or anything.

    Bad timing. Now you have to wait.
