Amex Blue Cash card question

    I currently have the Amex Cash Rebate card but I noticed that they now offer a Blue Cash Rewards card that's basically the same card as the cash rebate card except it looks like Blue. Would I be able to have Amex convert my current Cash Rebate card to a Blue Cash card? If so, who do I need to call?

    Try NEW ACCOUNTS...

    They may DUMP all the old cards and automatically send
    out AMEX BLUE CASH...(just a guess)

    no. i just asked them

    apply for the new card if you want it. no plans to replace current green ones.

    Ok so here's my second question...
    If I open the new Blue Cash Card can I then close the green and move the CL to the new one?

    I've also noticed that you can't even apply for the normal green cash rebate card anymore, it's not an option.
