I have a student blue since 1999, $8000 cl, perfect history, no lates, blah, blah, blah.... and for the second time in the past sixth months I have been denied - score is at 710 experian (which is what they keep checking) and my utilization is at 28%. WHAT GIVES???? I want a blue cash, not a student blue - the student blue has a super high apr & no rewards. Sorry for venting here :) Does anyone know?

    WHY...CAUSE THEY ARE CLULESS...

Why would I be DENIED A "PRE-APPROVED" DELTA GOLD??? TWICE...

Why would I have to "SPIN-OFF" $5,000 from BLUE to make a DELTA GOLD account???

Why have I NEVER got a limit increase in 3.5 years???

Any lates at all on the credit report? Besides, if you asked them, they'd tell you why they denied you. The reason could be something you could explain to a reasonable person and they can issue you the card.

So what's the reason they gave you?

Blue cash hates inqs...how many inqs do you have?

The only inquiries I have are the two that THEY made. This last application was the last inquiry. The reason given was too few satisfactory closed accounts. What does that mean? I have maybe four accounts closed - all say closed by comsumer - and all are satisifactory (never late, over limit, etc.).

I didnt get my card until I called them (I applied online) .. maybe some "supervisor" person would answer, and perhaps grant you the account.
