My Blue APR was jacked up 1% on the statement issued today. Jason certainly knew what he was talking about when he said they should not have approved anyone for it. The supervisor I've talked with said the same: The computer overrode the 9.9% change because it was "very illegal" for Donna (the one who approved it) to have done that. If you really want the 9.9% rate, it's possible that they still offer the Optima Platinum 9.9% (w/ 8.9% for balance transfers). Saar
Re: Amex Blue: No more 9.9% AP They probably returned each 9.9er to their previous rate. Given what they did to you, I'm sure you'd be able to get the 10.9% (that is if you want to). If you do call, don't even bother explaining it to the rep. Ask for a supervisor up front. Saar
Re: Amex Blue: No more 9.9% AP A couple months ago when you posted this I tried my hardest to get my APR reduced from 10.9 to 9.9. I think I tried about 10 times with different people and no one said they could do it (including supervisors)... so I finally gave up... I don't feel so bad now..
