I have had this card for alomost 3 months and it still hasn't reported. Not sure if they are behind or what, my green hasn't updated since Oct. Does anybody else have blue not reporting?? But with my green not being updated I"think" they are just behind?? Of course I would be happy if they didn't report since I used it for BT LOL

I have had my Amex blue since April of 2001. It has never reported to any of the bureaus. I was going to call their credit bureau dept. and ask that it be reported, but I think I will wait until I pay off my large balance next month.

    Bailey,
What kind of score do you need to get the AMEX blue? Does AMEX have another credit card (revolving) that is easier to get? Also, do they require 2 years of on time payments with another credit card to be considered?

Do a search for the delta skymiles card.

I got it with scores around 670, oldest tradeline was 9 months old. When I got the card, got it converted to a no annual fee P+4% optima platinum card, which has many of the same benefits as blue. With some luck, you can also convert it to blue.

    Good luck,

Romanduv, when you say oldest tradeline are you refering to a credit card or any active account? Also which bureau is pulled? Thanks!!

Oh goodie! i am so glad they are not reporting. Perhaps they have discovered the secret of getting and keeping all our debt with them, hehe.

I had the green for 8 months and they sent me a preapproval for the blue. I had 2 two year old tradelines and they pulled Equifax had a score of 680.

    tommy,

For me (california) they pulled equifax. Check http://www.millcbs.com/ for what is likely in your area.

My oldest tradeline was an open credit card account.

    Hope this helps.

P.S. I've had the card for about 2 months now, it still hasn't reported. Maybe it is like bailey's blue account...

Romanduv, I have only had credit cards for 12 months but car loans, home loan for 3 years. Does AMEX require that you have an existing CC for 2 years before consideration?

No, They have no such requirement for their skymiles product. Again, they approved me with only 9 months history. So if your score is higher than 650, you should be able to get this card. This has worked for many others on this board as well.

My Blue reports to all 3 CRAs. Although it hasn't been updated since 10/01 on any of them.

When I was an AU on my ex's Gold charge in 8/2000, it reported right away to Equifax. It didn't show up on my other reports until June and July of 2001! I disputed it (as account closed) on EXP and EFX because I was afraid that since the account was back in his control (I was paying the bill) that he might mess it up therefore causing dings on my reports. EFX and EXP deleted the trade totally. It's STILL on TU but hasn't been updated since it reported in June 2001. Weird...

AMEX BLUE is on EQUIFAX and TRANSUNION...since I had the STUPIDY TO REQUEST THE CREDIT LIMIT BE CHANGED FROM N/A TO $15,500 ON EXPERIAN (IT'S GONE)...

My AMEX Blue still hasn't been reported to the CRAs and I opened it in 11/2001. To be honest, I think this is a good thing because newly opened accounts might actually hurt your score. And with Equifax, It could be worse cause they show the majority of accounts as RO or "Too new to rate." They will even show this rating even after an account has been opened for 3 or so months. I will wait for 6 months after it has opened and then call up AMEX to request it be reported.

When I applied, my oldest tradeline was 18 months and I had 3 other inquiries in the past 60 days. They used Equifax. My FICO was probably in the upper 600s or lower 700s.
