I was approved in November for a Delta Gold with a 22,500 loc. Last week I applied for the Blue Card. Today the rep called me and said they can't approve more than one card in 90 days but I could split my credit line. So I put 10,000 on the Blue card and 12,500 on the Delta Gold.

Well since I am no longer flying, and if I had to carry a balance I wanted the lower APR. I don't normally carry a balance though.

So why not move the entire line to Blue?

1 card with a higher limit is better for your score than two cards with lower limits.
